Crobar Chicago is Closing 04.17.10

Glam kills. Ive just read on my BB that Crobar Chicago is closing - 2 more weekends left. I loved and will always miss it for the dark warehouse it was when I began going there. You could do as you please with no expectations and best of all, no fashion show. Checked it out when it remodeled - got my first taste of how a Chicago corporation does it at the Red Eye's one year anniversary party. Finlandia vodka everywhere, massages in the club, and mummy like wall climbers. People that look like they should be in a club then those in the suits that are probably paying for it :) Lost my contact, took turns hurling on the way home with my friend Mark. Threw up a lot that night, but it was great! The last time I went after that was my 22nd bday - dizzy from the Patron. So farewell Crobar, I'll always love you for the warehouse you were. Thanks for the memories.

Tekken 6 for PS3

Seeing the previews for this reminded me how much I still love video games! Check out the preview trailer for Tekken 6 which has already been released, now all I need is the PS3 to play it on :)

Using Text as Art

This assignment was to select a song and place the lyrics into text shapes that help describe the song. I chose the song Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. I've always liked the song and went for an overall poetic look with this.



How a Toaster Works

This artwork is created to illustrate how a toaster works.. I chose to go with a comic book like illustration with bright colors and insets of how the toaster insides function.



Travel Poster

This next assignment was to create a travel poster. We were all to choose a state, I chose Louisiana. Instead of going with the whole Mardi Gras, New Orleans theme - I chose to focus on a recreational theme and Louisiana is known for hunting and fishing by the bayou.
